Hey isn't the Fey just another name for Fairies and elves?

No, on the home world of the Narl'eru' called 'Cee’ma’ the Fey are not the friendly fairies found on most worlds. The Fey of 'Cee'ma' are the parent race of all known vampires. Vampires drink the blood of their victims the Fey absorb the fear and life force of their victims. They are hunters who enjoy killing all living things. 

A fey stands about 6 feet tall and is very strong and powerful*. Their skin is whitish blue, hair can be any color, eyes are blood red and glow with unholy light, they have very sharp long white, black or red teeth. The fey are loners and do not greatly tolerate each other's presence for long. They have a rule by might system so rarely every become organized enough to create cities most Fey social layouts are family strongholds.  Any fey can become a hunting lord if they can show great spiritual cruelty and control over the meaner creatures. The Fey feed off of their victims fear and life energies leaving nothing but an empty shell behind. In effect they destroy their victim's soul. They love hunting the Narl'eru' because of the feast they can reap. 

There is a link between the Narl'eru' and Fey that's truth is only known between them and the gods.

*That is, on many cold light (blue or white dwarf stars) worlds such as 'Cee'ma' they are so strong. On warm light (yellow or red sun) worlds that one find vampires and the undead, the Fey are weak forced to exist in the night's shadow and meaner parts of the darkness they tend to not have corporeal bodies. On those worlds they are rather a deadly consuming presents that hungers for the living.
