How can you ever think a Narl’eru’ is a Drow*?
Oddly enough the only facial difference between a Narl’eru’ and Drows is the skin and eye color. Both have white hair, only a Narl’eru’’s is very thick and curly. The problem occurs when a Narl’eru’ is wearing a protective suave over their skin,
that is when they are mistaken for Drows. To block the damage from sunlight the salve is black and dries to a breathable flexible covering that will not wash off unless the Narl’eru’ wants it off.
The Narl’eru’ wear dark flexible lenses over their easily damageable eyes. The lens has a deep green tint and act like sunglasses. Air’rel’s lenses were a gift from a visiting mage who had a great love of music
and was allowed hear her “Playing Stars” one night. The box he gave her recreates new lenses within a 24 hours time-frame. The box must first be emptied before the spell on it will create a new pair of lenses. The lenses are good for a single day’s use but if forced to can be used for up to three days before becoming worn, useless and fades away.
At times some supposed drows seen above ground in the daytime are really Narl’eru’. Just look at their feet, hands and lens-covered eyes to tell the difference. Besides, why would a Drow be up in the sunlight anyway? Another way to tell is while drows levitate underground they can not walk up walls Narl’eru’ can.
