Music

The Narl’eru’ use their very sensitive fingers to “Play the stars” they can mentally cause the star light to give off musical tones as their fingers bend the light coming from the distant stars. It can only be heard and shared mentally by touch. To hear the Narl’eru’ play one must touch their hand, arm, leg or foot. The music is extremely beautiful and often very indescribable for the listener to explain to those who have not experience it. A group of Narl’eru’ will sit in a circle each barely touching the other as their fingers reach up and play the starlight. They are often called “Star Dancers” to those watching the silent flowing moments of their fingers, hands and swaying bodies. If the watcher is allowed to touch just one of the group they are rewarded with a concert of music they will never forget.

Sometimes an elf once touched by a Narl’eru’ playing can later, mentally hear music softly playing any time that Nar’eru’ ‘star plays’ even though they may be miles away from each other. At the first call of a bird waking to the morning the Narl’eru’ suddenly will stop and flee the coming dawn. A Narl’eru’ protected from the sunlight can play it’s light as well but it is very over powering and mentally deafening to the player.

More on Narl'eru' music will be posted here.
